Future Tracks is a newly established social enterprise committed to transforming the standing of the early education profession within the Australian community, and to make it an attractive career choice for young people. Future Tracks aims to do this by enhancing industry qualifications and creating recognised and rewarding career pathways. It is seeking to improve the qualifications and career opportunities for students looking to build their career in early education, and to build leadership capability for those working within the profession through partnerships and alliances within the sector.

Future Tracks is seeking a pioneering CEO to lead this start-up role. You will build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, such as schools, tertiary education providers, Government, and other early childhood educators and leaders. You will develop and implement an organisation that both reframes early education as a career of choice and enhances the qualification and leadership development of the graduates. You will have a track record of leadership and the ability to engage and build trusted relationships. You will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, capacity and resourcefulness to build a new organisation with appropriate regard to corporate, structural and governance standards. You will have a proven ability to lead a collaborative process to develop and implement an organisational vision, mission, and a strategic campaign plan that leads to results.

Familiarity with the relevant research, programmatic and policy issues on qualifications and career paths in early childhood education and development is desirable.

The successful candidate will ideally have leadership experience in the social purpose, business and/or policy–change fields, preferably with some background or experience in a start–up or highly fluid growth organisation.

This full-time role may require some local travel and after-hours networking, there is flexibility around the location. You can view the position description here.
