Foundation Manager

Use your exceptional leadership skills to create positive change for industry and young people

  • Support the employment and training needs of industry and young people
  • Leverage your passion and experience in vocational education
  • Build relationships and generate income to create positive change

Our client is an Australian Foundation and a social enterprise committed to offering solutions to industry and career opportunities to disadvantaged young Australians interested in skilled occupations. Established since 2013, the Foundation’s programs support young people who wish to commence an apprenticeship, a traineeship, general employment and further education.

Our client is currently involved in two main initiatives:

  • a partnership with the Federal Government and local stakeholders to deliver a new and innovative education-industry training model for young people. This is currently in pilot stage at 14 sites across Australia
  • a 3-4 week job-ready intensive training program incorporating a work experience component which contributes to successful job placement outcomes. This program has been growing since inception and is a partnership with a large financial institution.

As the success of our client’s programs grows they are now looking to find a Foundation Manager. This is a newly created role and will oversee the organisation’s next stage of growth as well as day to day operations.

Integral to this role will be the ability of the Foundation Manager to build and develop new revenue streams, ensure robust performance measures are in place, and establish and maintain fruitful relationships with stakeholders. Other important aspects of the role include writing major tender and grant applications, and managing the day to day operations of the Foundation.

You will be an exceptional leader with a proven ability to collaborate, negotiate, engage and build trusted relationships across the corporate, government, philanthropic, non-profit and community sectors. You will have highly-developed skills in communicating key messages succinctly and a demonstrated understanding of the vocational training/education landscape. In this role, you will be equally comfortable and capable of working at a strategic level influencing policy, as you are working in the detail conducting research, due diligence and impact measurement.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a leader with existing corporate, government and philanthropic networks and a track record of running organisations particularly of a start-up nature. Your ability to raise funds and drive capital growth will be essential for success.

Based in Melbourne, this is a full time role reporting to the General Manager.
