This is a unique opportunity for a graduate to develop a career path in Australia’s largest Foundation and gain an understanding of the Australian philanthropic and not-for-profit sector. Working closely with a small team, you will experience first-hand the operations of a dynamic and professional workplace, under the guidance of a passionate working group. Your responsibilities will be a varied and diverse range of grant related tasks, designed to make a real impact on projects and programs, while developing your communication, project management and system thinking skills.

In this role, you will contribute to the work of the Foundation by supporting the grants management team, providing critical thinking, analysis and insight in the development and execution of the investment portfolio. You will enjoy research and problem solving and be proactive and confident in your ability to make informed decisions and take initiative. You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and be confident at conversing with a variety of stakeholders. You will thrive on working in a busy and broad role and will be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment. You will also contribute to the grant related administrative function and a variety of processes that support day-to-day business operations. You will be capable of managing multiple and, at times, competing priorities, including database management and development, the establishment of an online grantmaking system and document and spreadsheet creation. There will be a variety of projects for you to contribute to and manage, including events, presentations and research reports.

You will be a degree qualified, organised, self-motivated team player, with a strong commitment to learning. You will be keen to grow and develop and have a genuine appetite for responsibility.
